Managing Aerodrome Environmental Impact

Richard Oakes, Airport and Winter Operations consultant, and Head of Fire & Emergency Planning at OXF leads the session on the aviation industry's journey to net zero, covering fleet electrification to solar farms.

The Panel contains Airfield operations experts involved in delivering Net Zero projects into the airside environment, and Airport environmental engineers expert in the management of airport contaminants. Discussions will cover Airports “strategic objectives” to achieve reductions in CO2 emissions, through milestones to integrate Solar power and Electrification of airside fleet. To balance these discussions with the “tactical objectives” to prevent airport environmental contamination.
